Next Year is an Olympic Year.Beijing is organizing the 2008 Olympics.So I start my first Sport Facts blog with some facts about Olympics :
1.Athens Olympic, the first in the modern times, was organized from 6th April 1895 to 15th April 1895
2.The second Olympics(Modern) was organized in Paris from 11th February to 19th February 1900.
3. The third Olympics(Modern) was organized in St,Lois from 3rd February to 15th February 1904.
4. The fourth Olympics(Modern) was organized in London from 27th April to 31st April 1908.
5. The fifth Olympics(Modern) was organized in Stockholm from 5th May to 22nd July 1912.
6.28 Olympic games are played in the modern times.Beijing will organise the 29th edition in 2008 .
7.The IOC or the International Olympic Committe decide which city will be the host of the Olympic Games . In 112nd sessin of IOC ,Beijing was selected as the host of 2008 Olympics.
8.Official Website of Beijing Olympic is : http://www.beijing2008.com
9.Opening Ceremony of 2008 Olympics will be on 8th August 2008 and the date for the closing ceremony is 24th August 2008.
